Spring Open Enrollment Begins January 1, 2024
We are pleased to offer Northern Illinois students and their families insurance plans provided by Delta Dental of Illinois, Chubb Insurance and Teladoc. Short Term health insurance is also available. You are not required to participate in the Northern Illinois University Student Health Insurance Plan to enroll.
Open Enrollment Periods
- Fall: July 10 – October 31, 2023 (plan effective date August 1)
- Spring: January 8 – March 31, 2024 (plan effective date February 1)
- 6-month plans only
You must enroll in coverage during the open enrollment period. If you have a qualifying life event you may be eligible for a special enrollment period. Please refer to our FAQ page for more information.
